Il est impossible de trouver ce livre au site web de la Bibliothèque Nationale de France et, bien que $20 est, peut-être, un petit peu cher, il faut considérer le travail de produire cette version digitale (que très peu de personnes vont acheter), or... Considérant tout ceci, c'est un très bon affaire! Voici d'autres bouquins intéressants que l'ont peut trouver à Gallica: finalement, il suffit de chercher "Robert Houdin" à Gallica pour trouver tous ses livres (en plus de La Prestidigitation sans appareils). Mais l'on ne peut pas trouver ce livre ailleurs qu'ici!

This is probably one of first books describing stage card manipulations, specially productions from the back palm.
Later books, such as Buckley's Card Control, tend to assume that the reader had studied Thurston's book and knew the basic methods explained therein.
Although you can find these methods (practically the same as described by Thurston) in lesson 35 of the Tarbell Course on Magic, explained in a more clear and detailed manner, if you are interested in stage manipulations, this book is a must.
You will also find an interesting section about the Si Stebbins stack, which the author calls "The "Thurston" System of Expert Card Manipulation".

I wonder how would magic in Spain be like without Father Wenceslao Ciuró...
Anyhow, this is certainly a very interesting book, and the section on stage illusions is really good.
