SpyCat Wallet by Mark Stone

Turn a $10 modern, minimalist wallet into a devastating first-class peek device, and instantly read the spectator's mind.

Everyday use wallets have become smaller and smaller over the years because we have changed from a mostly cash society to a mostly 'plastic money' society. This means a typical wallet today only needs to hold a few credit cards and a driver's license and thus it is much smaller than the wallets of days past. This completely normal-looking peek wallet is small and thin. Purchase it for about $10 and then modify it to turn it into a deceptive peek wallet in a few minutes.

There are no mirrors and no magnets in this wallet. Mirrors complicate the peeking of words and numbers and thus require you to peek longer which can give away the method. Magnets can be noisy. This well-thought-out design avoids all of these problems. The PDF gives detailed instructions on where to purchase the wallet and how to gimmick it. The video demonstrates how the wallet is handled both from the spectator's and performer's view.

Do you like to do stuff yourself? I'm a DIY kind of mentalism guy. I like making props, and I've even made two peek wallets. But nothing compares to the DIY SpyCat wallet. It's excellent. Mark Stone says that it's based on a wallet by Ray Piatt. I collect wallets and have had my eye on acquiring a 1980s Piatt wallet for some time. If this were a commercial product, it would probably sell for $75-100. But the download is $25, the wallet you need is $10, and you might need to buy a few things. (I didn't have any heavy-duty Gorilla tape lying around). Let's just say that for under $50, and a bit of your time, you can have an excellent peek wallet. No kidding. I think it's better than the Razor and Shadow wallets, and those are well-reviewed and best sellers. This wallet has an extremely deceptive peek--that's personalized just for you. You need to be careful with construction--it's a bit fiddly--but when you finish it, you'll love it.
