Although in writing this book, the author's thought has been mainly for the beginner, I feel confident that advanced magicians will find a good deal of very useful material in "THE CONJURER'S VADE MECUM." Mr. Orrin writes clearly and concisely, and in doing so draws upon a store of knowledge acquired by practical experience. He gives many a useful little hint as to the choice of tricks for different occasions, and in describing each trick he comes straight to the point and explains, first the effect and then the method of working, and finally adds suggestions for patter. The author evidently intended to write a really useful book, and in my opinion, he has done what he set out to do.
