This is a scholarly work on the fascinating motion picture The Fishing Voyage of the Good Ship Anita. The film described in this ebook shows Ernest Hemingway and several of his best friends (Charles Thompson, Joe Russell, Raymond White - White is not in the movie since he shot it, Pauline Hemingway, and Helen White) deep-sea fishing in the Port of Havana and in the Gulf Stream off of Cojimar.
You will be able to read a detailed frame-by-frame description of the motion picture, together with several frame shot images. You will also have the opportunity to read the details and the contents of the fishing log for the very same fishing trip.
This trip, Hemingway's first deep sea fishing voyage, was the inspiration for his most well-known novel The Old Man and the Sea.
This is a historic discovery. Hemingway was extremely camera shy and very little footage is available of him. This is the only and best motion picture showing him in the company of his best friends, smiling and joking, having fun - being Ernest as he was privately.
