Ralph Grant Mathieson, also known as "Tiny Grant" and "King Grant," was an American magician, magic dealer, manufacturer, and author. Tiny worked as a safety engineer for the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers in Denver, Colorado, for nine years. It was here that he learned to make his training sessions more interesting by illustrating the lessons with magic tricks. Upon leaving the Army, he turned to comedy magic, which he turned into a successful career. Billed as "280 pounds of fun and foolishness" or as "World's Largest Magician", the rotund entertainer headlined stages and nightclubs from Oregon to Florida.
In 1958, Mathieson began hosting a children's live TV show on Dallas, Texas station KRLD, "Uncle Tiny's Party Time". The half-hour show ran five days a week for nearly two years, entertaining thousands of kids with Tiny's infectious blend of magic and humor.
