
Walter H. Chan
Dr. Walter H. Chan is a scientist by training and has rich management experience.
Walter obtained a B.Sc. degree (Honours Chemistry) and a M.Sc. degree (Physical Chemistry) from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada and was awarded a Ph.D. degree (Physical Chemistry) from the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada. He subsequently conducted post-doctoral research in Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, U.S.A.
Walter was a former director with the Ontario government. He worked at the Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Labour, and Ministry of Economic Development. Walter’s work has been recognized by a number of awards including an Amethyst Award (the highest award within the Ontario government), an Emerald Award, an Award of Excellence, and a GTEC Award.
Dr. Chan was an Adjunct Professor at the University of Toronto, Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. He also holds a Master of Theological Studies degree from Tyndale Seminary in Toronto.
