Banned by Unknown Mentalist

This is a quick and powerful mentalism routine using a list of banned books. There is a one-time preparation of a single double blank business card or index card or postcard. Or you can even carry this effect on your mobile phone.

The performer introduces the theme of banned books - "Words can be dangerous. Written, published and placed in the wrong hands - words can kill. Some of the most dangerous words ever written are inside these books on this card. These books were deemed dangerous at different points of time by different establishments. They were banned and censored for various reasons."

The routine begins with the participant freely thinking of any banned book title in the whole world. And after a quick and easy process ends with an impossible climax. Nothing is spoken or written down by the participant. In fact, the performer too does not have to reveal anything as the "impossible climax" happens entirely in the mind of the participant.

And the beauty of the process is that it is extremely quick, self-working, and such that even if the participant makes a mistake in the process, the result does not change and will be a big hit.

Another variation using the theme of popular books (instead of banned books) is also explained.

There are no sleights, no preshow, no stooges or instant stooges, no dual reality. No memory work, no equivoque, no multiple outs, no anagrams, no peeks, no impression devices, no stacks, no marks, no secret writing, no tearing, no one ahead, no switches, no apps, and no electronics.
