Dr. Hans-Gerhard Stumpf
(October 23rd 1926 - April 27th 2006)
Dr. Stumpf was by profession a school teacher for kids with learning disabilities. His interest in magic started with 8 years. Besides performing magic he dedicated a lot of his attention to the theoretical side of magic and he started to write and publish. Between 1956 and 1963 he was editor of the periodical Methodische Reihe der Zauberkunst. He contributed to a number of journals including The Gen, Zauberkunst and Magische Welt, sometimes using the pseudonym Dr. Niedermeyer.
