(Esperod, Sweden: 26th May 1882 - 12th May 1973)

Inspired around age 10 by a travelling magician. Moved to the USA in 1897. Pro stage magic since 1906, briefly as "Hansone and Company", then as "Mystic Hanson Trio" and "Hanson and the Burton Sisters". Married his assistant, Lillian Burton, in 1915. Stage manager and understudy to Howard Thurston 1929-35. Managed Holden's Magic Shop branch in Boston 1936-60. SAM President 1942-43. Named 5th SAM Dean of American Magicians in 1959. SAM Hall of Fame 1968. Wrote Howard Thurston's Floating Ball Routine (20pp). Articles and tricks in Barnstormer and MUM. Autobio is Hanson and Zweers, The Magic Man (1974, 104pp).
