Born as Laurance W. Spitari in England. He was active by 1909 when he lived in Southampton as pro ventriloquist and magician. Edited A.W.S. Magazine 1911-14 and The Wizard's Annual (newsletters of the Associated Wizards of the South) 1913-16. Wrote Pocket Book of Patter (c1919, as "Spitari"), The Magician's Road to Fame (1922, as "Glen") and The Humours of Entertaining (n.d., as "Spitari").
