Luke Jonas is a UK-based mentalist and writer, known as much for his thinking on method as for the effects themselves. For over fifteen years he has performed and developed work for close-up and parlour audiences, with a particular focus on theatrical construction and the use of language as method — anagrams, linguistic forcing, and the quiet machinery underneath a clean reveal. His reputation rests on theory and essay work as much as tricks. Inconceivable, an original limited edition, sold out its run; Away With Words collects his language-driven material. Alongside these sit his book tests — The Alice in Wonderland Book Test and The Jekyll & Hyde Book Test — and shorter pieces including Newton's Touch, The Power of Prayer, and By Your Own Hand. He has collaborated with Peter Turner and is an active voice in the wider mentalism community.
