- illustrated with color photographs and videos of each critical move, features two completely routined performance pieces from Bob's own working repertoire. "The Manchurian Gambit"
is a demonstration of "psychic brainwashing", based on Richard Condon's novel and John Frankenheimer's 1962 film classic, "The Manchurian Candidate". An audience member, completely unaware of what he or she is doing, follows the mentalist's psychic commands. Not only completely amazing, this is one of the funniest and most memorable routines Bob has ever performed.
In "A Place to Die For" an ancient secret provides the key to a modern mental miracle. A spectator rolls a die and concentrates on any city of his or her choice. The mentalist reveals the number on the die as well as the selected city. There are no forces, special gimmicks or impression devices used.
A special bonus effect, "Mind Burn", rounds out this package. It illustrates "pyrokinesis", the power of mind over fire. If you have ever used a PK type magnet, this will be of special interest to you. I'll bet you didn't know that it was possible, and quite easy, to extinguish a candle flame with a hidden magnet. The effect is positively eerie and everything may later be thoroughly examined if you so desire.
