Ralph Felder
Ralph Felder, a self-taught juggler and magician hobbyist, worked in management for 34 years in the telecommunications industry in the New Orleans area. He retired from AT&T in 2007 and moved full time to Hot Springs Village, Arkansas in 2010. In 1966, he completed studies in mathematics and chemistry at Lamar State College of Technology (now Lamar University). He also has an MBA from Tulane University. While employed for BellSouth (now AT&T), he earned the American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification in 1997.
Besides creating and performing magic, Ralph’s other interests include tennis, juggling, and the visual arts (oil painting and drawing). In the performing arts, his Renaissance Festival Jester character and Las Vegas style black light juggling act were a hit. The New Orleans, Louisiana International Brotherhood of Magicians Ring 27 where he served as President in 1992-1993, enjoyed his performances. Currently, he is a member of the Little Rock, Arkansas I.B.M. Ring 29.
As a writer, Ralph has published magic routines in the I.B.M. Linking Ring magazine. Included are three individual one-man ‘Hocus Pocus Parade’ issues dated May, 1991 (the first and only issue to include juggling instructions), December, 2014, and June, 2016.
