Not quite as simple as the description implies. Without giving it away, you need some extras and some craft work.

This video provides a clear explanation for handling for a Haunted Deck effect based on a variation of one of the standard methods. It was easy to follow and would be especially useful for a beginner wanting to perform this classic.

I do wish it contained a little more on the actual presentation, and not just the method.

I kind of knew what I was getting into. Not disappointed!! The method here is simpler than the one in my head. Took me just 5 minutes to build. For best visuals use borderless cards like the BEE cards. If you can install it on some kind of rotating base (I've a battery-operated base from a broken showpiece). It'll be incredible. Most suspensions are non-inspectable, the same in this case. Since this is small and meant to be kept on a table or cupboard, people will come closer, touch it, and inspect it. They will appreciate the procedure employed but the wonder part will be gone.

NOT useful in real life. On video is the only way this is at all interesting. Substantial effort for a non-effect. In real life, all is clearly visible. Disappointing.
