The $1000 Dollar A Day Show Plan

Overall customer rating: ★★★★★

The $1000 Dollar A Day Show PlanThis book will be of greater value to the magician than mentalist. Devin states that you need a 70-90 minute show that appeals to all ages. I have yet to see even the best mentalism program which meets those requirements. Mentalism is an adult form of entertainment and most children under 12 will just not get it. And 90 minutes of mentalism is just hard to watch. Then there are the kooks who will boycott a mentalism show rather than support it.

Also this book is more for established performers who have "a lot of great references." So, if you are just starting out and think this book will help you break into the market, look elsewhere, as this is definitely for the more experienced performer. Also you will need some cash to invest in the show before you even step on stage-a few hundred dollars actually.

The book has sound advice and a workable- and most likely profitable-plan, but again, more experienced performers with (some handy cash) will find it of greatest value.

Magigram

MagigramNOTE: While I have only purchased the first five volumes of the Magigram so far, I am writing this review for the complete file as I am sure that I will feel the same about each volume.

I never read the Magicgram when it was in print. I had no idea what I was missing. But now that I have the first five volumes, I can honestly say that it is a gold mine and will get the entire run. I paid fifteen dollars for the first five volume (three dollars each) and I have found items worth ten times that price in just the first volume alone.

I imagine that by the time I finish buying and reading all 27 volumes I will have more than I could ever use in a lifetime (which I do anyway!). Honestly, if you don't find this pays for itself ten times over, you are either not a serious magician or you have a serious case of anhedonia!!

Mind Blasters

Mind BlastersI very rarely offer reviews on a product or book as I very rarely find something that delivers more than my money's worth. However, Mind Blasters is definitely in the category of "more than your money's worth". I found several items which I feel are each worth at least the price of the e-book . Many of these items could be sold individually for the cost of the whole collection. Some examples: AAA Serial Number Divination, Back to the Future, Still Battling Along, Con-Flatulation, just to name a few.

After almost 30 years of mentalism and magic I am quite critical when an item sounds too good to be true. None of the items in this collection fit that category. Although not all of the items fit my performance style, there is enough material here which I will use, that I feel as though I got the better end of the deal!!

Bits and Bytes

Bits and BytesI purchased this ebook some time ago and thought I had posted a review. So here it is. I found this ebook to be full of wonderful little surprises. While there are some effects which one might use "as is", I found the greatest value of this work to be the inspiration to create your own effects and presentations. There are plenty of tricks out there but precious few works which are open ended enough to allow one to create his own. If you are looking for inspiration, as well as some creative thinking, I very much recommend this item.
