Richard Gamble
Richard Gamble was the assistant secretary of the 'Scottish Conjurers' Association' in Glasgow between 1981 and 1984. A flourish, with playing cards, that he originated, is 'Blooming Aces'. He was a winner in the 1993 IBM Close-up magic competition (British Ring) where he performed an act themed around the history of the Romani people. He combines his magic with the study of the Romani people, taking interesting stories from their lore and adapting conjuring skills to make magical entertainment. Along with the study of conjuring Richard is also a keen artist. He includes his learning of the Romanies with his other interest in cartooning. Stories drawn to amuse and educate. When his magic can’t be seen!
