Visual Mentalism No. 1 by Fred Lowe

Excerpt from the introduction:

The theme of the series would have been conveyed more precisely by a title such as 'Audience Involvement and Visual Mentalism'.

It is therefore most desirable that the audience should see exactly what is happening during the preliminaries (or build-up) of an effect. But even this may not be enough. What they see must be interesting enough to rivet their attention. People are most interested in those events in which they involve themselves, in which they 'join in' - identification is the psychological term.

Both of the effects that follow are fully visual in the sense that the audience see exactly what is being done all the time. In addition to that the form of presentation draws the audience into the happenings from the beginning to the end.
