Self-taught as a boy. Insurance businessman. Semi-pro kid-show magician. Co-founded (with George Sylvestre) the Cotswold Magic Society in 1943. Edited Meteor 1949 (4 issues). British Ring President 1959-60.

Wrote Open Sesame (1947, 154pp, with Eric C. Lewis; repr 1968) and Playing with Magic (1953, 107pp). Column in Hughes' News. Audio: How to Entertain Children.
