Started magic at 7 years old and was tutored by his older cousin Albert Fellows, a brilliant conjurer, originator and mechanic. Between WWI and WWII he worked as semi-pro for Hamley's Agency and during WWII he appeared regularly in Harry's Concert Party doing Troop Shows. His other profession was designer and fashion photographer. His hobbies were music, making magic props and puzzles, working in wood and metal, copper plate engraving, and Rugby.
