Stage name of Jean-Louis Gaëtan Blum since 1971. Learned at age 6-8 from magic set, lessons age 10 from Dominique Webb and age 13 from Jean Merlin. Pro comedy magician since age 18, initially assisting Gerard Majax. Then solo as top-line close-up. Pet effects: Standing Card, Microphone Routine, Instant Vanishing-and-Reappearing Shoe, Boxing Gloves Card Manipulations.

Invented Bloom Gimmick in 1985 and Card in Tape Recorder. Wrote (with Jeff Busby) Gaetan Bloom's Visible Monte (1986, 24pp). Co-editor Le Magicien 1992-present. Tricks in Journal de la Prestidigitation, Pabular, and Genii. 2 videos (1984, 1986). Now (1995) researching a bio of Winston Freer.
