The double undercut is one of the basic utility moves of card magic. It allows you to move cards from the top to the bottom or vice versa. It can also be used as a card control. Allan teaches you both, the in-hand and on-the-table varieties.

A block transfer is to move one or several cards from one half of the deck to the other half, leaving everything else unchanged. The transfer can happen on the top or on the bottom. This is a riffle shuffle technique very useful for riffle stacking.

The purpose of the riffle shuffle stack is to place special cards, say the aces, at special locations in the deck so that during a dealing action those aces end up in a predetermined pile, usually the magicians hand.
