Michael Breggar
Who Is Michael Breggar? And why is he persona-non-grata with the TCA (Thermometer Collectors of America)? Michael Breggar is an extraordinarily well-built and handsome man. He has an engaging personality and is an incredible athlete. He has been called one of the world’s greatest thinking magicians and magic writers. He had recently turned down the role of Captain America because the digital graphic artists could not make him look any less ripped. As a writer, his books and column in The Linking Ring are world renown. His lucid writing skills have been peered with George Bernard Shaw. He dresses impeccably and has sweet breath. Flowers bloom when he walks past and dogs whistle at him. What a shame you are not hypnotized right now … there would be a shot you’d believe this. Here’s the reality: Michael is an incorrigible curmudgeon with a questionable body. Dogs run away from him when he approaches because the squeakiness in his shoes are at such a high frequency, their canine ears freak out. And his writing is nowhere near that of GBS. But is closer to the last two letters. What?? You’re really not hypnotized?? Oh well … here’s the real reality: Michael is the award-winning author of “Auto-Magic,” found monthly in The Linking Ring. He has written three very successful books featuring his trademark sleight-lite magic with quirky and original presentations. He’s a full-time management consultant and lives near Philly with his wife, his best friend, the beautiful genius you have gotten to know in his writings, Marilyn. Their son, Seth, whom you have also gotten to know, lives 15 miles away. Kirby, the cat, hasn’t moved out of the Breggar household yet, but Michael recently found two tickets to Florence, Italy tucked in his pet bed. Two tickets? Who is he taking with him?! Professionally, Michael is a management consultant and has worked for some of the world’s most prominent corporations. He has performed magic at executive meetings and private functions around the world. You’d think these executives would know better. In recent years, Michael has devoted his time to writing, lecturing and teaching and collaborating on new magic with other magicians and magic companies. That’s his story and he’s sticking to it.
