Mind on the Rocks by Jay Jennings

The mentalist shows cards representing five drinking establishments and their signature drink, such as Martini or Old Fashioned. The cards are placed face up on a table on stage. The mentalist now invites three random spectators to join him on stage and explains they will play the parts of folks embarking on an imaginary pub crawl.

Because nobody knows how wild this night is going to get, each participant will select a fake ID under which they'll do their drinking. Three cards are shown, each bearing a different humorous name, and mixed face down and given to the participants. The mentalist turns his back and instructs each person to select a card that will be used as his or her identity, look at and then hold it so nobody else can see the name. No one but the three participants themselves will know which name they selected.

In order to keep the pubs from getting too crowded, the three drinkers will each go to a different bar and get their most famous drink. Three Pub Crawl Map cards are handed to each spectator. The mentalist once again turns his back and the participants choose the drink card based on their secret name. The drink card is also held so the info is hidden from sight.

The mentalist picks up a blank pad of paper and a marker. Telling the participants to concentrate on their secret name and drink, the mentalist taps into their mind and makes some notes. One by one, he's able to correctly identify each person's name and their chosen drink!

This routine can entertain any (drinking age) audience, and besides being a lot of fun, it's a complete mystery how the mentalist is able to know what each person is thinking.
