The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge Volume 4

The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge Volume 4A few very good tricks. All the tricks are very well explained. There are some DIY and/or some setup and/or the use of some specific cards for all the tricks, so these tricks are not for everybody. But the DIY is easy and needs items you can find easily, and the specific cards are cards you can find also easily.

The Bammo Full-Deck False Shuffle

The Bammo Full-Deck False ShuffleA little disappointed because I bought this PDF for the false shuffle, and I think it is not well explained. By watching the video on Lybrary, I saw that it looked like a shuffle I already knew, but I supposed there was an extra subtlety, and indeed, there is an extra subtlety. But I do not understand the explanation. So I captured the video and I watched it in slow motion, but from what I saw, it seems that there are 2 cards that are really shuffled. So, I'm going to contact Mr. Bob Farmer for more explanations. However, the "super closer" routine is well explained and contains some good ideas from Bob Farmer.

Easy Touch

Easy TouchI think Mr Baxter's version of Touch is very good, and I will try this version. But I removed one star : - because it is difficult for me to understand the details of one of the moves (I understand the steps of this move on the whole, but I'm not sure of the position of the hands or the cards), - because I'm not sure to realize how the whole trick must look like. As in "Himber happening", another very good trick from Mr. Baxter, this trick is based on a choreography and on some misdirection. And to well understand this choreography, a video would be the best solution. There could at least be pictures.

Do-It-Yourself BookMany tricks with accessories. The manufacture of all the accessories is explained but is sometimes difficult to understand because there are not enough illustrations. You will find some good ideas and advice.

Keeping ControlI'm a serious amateur intermediate magician. I already did some shows and close-up. From my experience, I must say that all that Mark Leveridge wrote, is true. He thought about all the details and gives practical advice. I recommend this booklet at least to all the hobbyist magicians, but I think it can also be useful to some professional magicians. I think that even you are a hobbyist, you must put on your magic as a professional, and for that, this booklet will help you. I'm sure of that.

MORE: Multiple Outs ReimaginedNot a new idea (or perhaps new with blank business cards). The suggested applications are too mathematical and not very interesting for me.

CamouflageI did not know the specific thing that you have in a deck of cards such the Bicycle cards. I'm very pleased that Gerard Zitta reveals this secret, because it is an interesting thing that you can use in some of your own routines. But I thing the price of this booklet is a little too high.

Pirate Torture Illusion

Pirate Torture IllusionPros : Several presentation ideas, well expounded. The improved method used. Cons : I had to read several times the explanations to understand the instructions, because the figures are not drawn neatly, and there is an action not very clear. I hope there will be another version of this booklet with more precise figures, with different colors for the rope 1, the rope 2, the board, the spectator. It would be also good to put a picture of the action of the performer when he does his action with his right fingers between the loops and to explain with which part of the script this action is associated and justified. But, in spite of these comments, I recommend this booklet. New version to come?
