J.C. Wagner's "Super Closer" is one of the most impressive routines you can do with a deck of cards. Ricky Jay knew this and only was told the workings after Wagner held out for one of Jay's inner secrets.
The deck is shuffled and cut and then divided into four packets. The magician and the spectator shuffle the four packets.
Effect #1: The top cards of each packet are turned over to reveal the four Aces.
Effect #2: The spectator buries the four Aces in the deck. The magician spells each Ace to find all four and, as he does so, four packets are created.
Effect #3: The four Kings are spelled to from one of the packets.
Effect #4: The four packets are turned face up and are revealed to be divided into clubs, hearts, spades and diamonds.
But to do the effect you need a really good full-deck false shuffle.
There have been many full-deck false shuffles: however, they required perfect execution, especially when single cards were being shuffled off. Depending on the deck, the day, the humidity, the fingers and other factors, single card mistakes were always possible. Then there was the sometimes requirement of counting the cards as they were shuffled off while at the same time talking to the audience, so it was easy to fail.
The Bammo Full-Deck False Shuffle does not have any of these problems. You cannot miss. Cards will not slip out of line. There is no counting; there are no outjogs and no injogs. You do not have to think at all and can talk to the audience as you do the shuffle.
As well, the Bammo version of "Super Closer" introduces some additional secrets not used in the original routine that make the routine even more deceptive.

★★★★★ Date Added: Sunday 17 September, 2023A little disappointed because I bought this PDF for the false shuffle, and I think it is not well explained. By watching the video on Lybrary, I saw that it looked like a shuffle I already knew, but I supposed there was an extra subtlety, and indeed, there is an extra subtlety. But I do not understand the explanation. So I captured the video and I watched it in slow motion, but from what I saw, it seems that there are 2 cards that are really shuffled. So, I'm going to contact Mr. Bob Farmer for more explanations. However, the "super closer" routine is well explained and contains some good ideas from Bob Farmer.

★★★★★ Date Added: Wednesday 06 September, 2023As always, anything from Bob Farmer is worth learning. This is an incredibly simple, and extremely effective full-deck false shuffle. But for me, Bob's take on the famous J.C. Wagner "Super Closer" is the real value of this short document. Overall, a great value for a small price. Thanks, Bob for sharing this with us!
