Learned at age 8 from a family friend, a gambler. Left job as a university psychology instructor for career in magic, moving to San Francisco in 1977. Pro since 1978 with comedy close-up, stand-up magic, and stage illusions. Now mainly works comedy clubs. Invented Fish Bowl on Head (1978) and Live Bird from Picture Frame (1986). Wrote two lecture notes (1982 and 1986). Trick in Genii. TV bits and DVDs.

A deck is shuffled by a spectator. A card is picked in a fair and open manner. The card is returned and the deck is shuffled again by the spectator. The performer takes out four cards, one of the four is the spectator chosen card. The chosen card vanishes leaving only three cards in the performer's hands. The card appears face-up in the tabled deck.
