B. Das
Magician B. Das (Bisweshar Das) was born on 6th January 1932 in the Faridpur District of what is now Bangladesh. He got interested in magic at a very young age from a book (Magicker Khela) by the Late P.C. Sorcar.
Starting as an amateur performer, his interest soon expanded to collecting magic props, books and magazines. He accumulated a large and renowned collection of these items, plus hundreds of visiting cards, handbills, souvenirs, posters, paper clippings and news about the performers of his time.
In his later years, he was a resident of Purulia District of West Bengal (India), and also a senior teacher at a school in his hometown. Besides his interest in Magic, he was an avid photographer.
He passed away on 8th July 2014.
