Captured Twice by Ian Baxter

Themed card mysteries are certainly not new. Many of them are tired, worn out, horribly dated, and probably best left forgotten. Even in their day, these forced presentations, spiked with corny patter, invariably put audiences to sleep. Who wants to be supposedly entertained by a magician who is a crashing bore?

Here is an up-to-the-minute card mystery from Ian Baxter that will leave them scratching their heads. This is top drawer material - easy to perform, within range of the most basic card handler, yet fast, mystifying and amusing.

The basic 'Cops and Robbers' theme evidenced here can be traced back to 1934, when it was published in Volume 3 of Jean Hugard's Card Manipulations series. This revised handling brings it right into the 21st Century.

The raw effect involves two Kings from the deck being chosen by a spectator and held together with a rubber band. A selected card, lost in the deck. Suddenly appears between the Kings. Quick and fanciful, the effect is instantly repeated!

Baxter's devious handling will not only deceive audiences but magicians as well. Don't miss out on this smooth, eloquent card mystery.
