A novel semi-automatic effect in which a spectator rolls a pair of dice and freely chooses any card, to arrive at a random spot in the deck where two more cards will determine both a random card and a number where it will be magically found.
A new semi-automatic card magic effect, where the magician, once introduced to an ordinary deck of poker cards, proceeds with a quick shuffle and finally hands it to a spectator, asking her to cut it into three parts. She shuffles the last one and chooses from it any card. Before turning it over, the magician announces that its value, added to that obtained from the roll of two imaginary dice, will determine a precise point in the deck. Spreading the deck to that precise position, he draws two cards from it. Before the lady turns them over, he cuts the deck a few more times: first in two, then in three, complete and lays it on the table. Then explain that the two cards will determine the value and suit of a random card, but also that the sum of the two values of these cards will indicate a number. The woman turns over the two cards and loudly announces both the card and the number. Immediately, she proceeds to count the cards one by one from the top of the deck, stacking them covered on the table until she arrives at the card corresponding to the number indicated. After a few moments of suspense spent in having her repeat what the search is aiming at, she will turn over that card which turns out to match, to the amazement of those present!
