The basic effect goes like this. Have a spectator choose any number from 1-52 (the number of cards in a regular deck). Let's assume the spectator chooses 16. Then have him or her select any card. Say the spectator chooses the Three-of-Hearts. Now the spectator counts to the 16th card in the deck and finds the Three-of-Hearts there. Impossible! But that is the effect. How you can achieve this and similar effects you will learn from the products in this category.
A card and a number, generated by a spectator's imagination, find a perfect match in reality, in a deck of cards that was in plain sight, on the table, from the beginning.
An incredible mentalism effect with playing cards, in which the illusionist tells of an ancestral magical ritual in which all the cards participate, gathering at a sacred mountain ... There, in the grip of visions caused by alcohol and drug abuse, each will discover its assigned "place in life". A kind woman imagines their "return to their village," still tipsy and staggering enough that she easily succeeds in blocking...
A spectator chooses, through a special "elimination ritual", only four cards that will generate both a card and a number, which will magically be found in the deck.
A formidable semi-automatic card magic effect, themed "A.C.A.A.N.," or rather: "Card to Number," in which the magician, after quickly showing and shuffling the deck, explains that the whole world we know is characterized by Duality: Good and Evil, Light and Dark, Day and Night, Positive and Negative... We can also distinguish playing cards and numbers in the same way, and to demonstrate this, he begins by dealing out about twenty...
An experiment of thought - powered by statistics, imagination, and impossibility.
This new effect offers a seamless experience between two spectators using only their own phones. No apps to install. No magician intervention. Just a static website that appears to display nothing more than card statistics.
Each participant thinks of a card, submits it, and follows a set of seemingly harmless instructions. Everything happens in their imagination: a card is exchanged, inserted into a virtual deck at a specific position. And yet, when the real deck is counted, the cards are found exactly where...
"When everyone zigs, zag." - Marty Neumeier
99% of all the ACAANS out there either look or feel, or both, the same. This is an attempt to stand out in that 1%.
Here is what happens:
A deck of cards is handed to someone in the crowd. They point to a stranger - who freely names any card. That person points to someone else - who names any number from 1 to 52.
You take back the deck and spread it out. Every card has a big, bold number on its back - from 1 to 52 in perfect order. You count to the named number. The card is revealed to be the exact card they named.
Mind-blowing?...
A magical journey undertaken by a spectator based on her choices inevitably leads to the result predicted by the magician.
A spectator raises a deck of cards previously shuffled, shuffles it in turn and chooses a card from which to begin a journey that will inevitably end at a card that was prophesied from the beginning and which, lost in the deck, will be magically found by the magician at the very number assigned to it by that same path taken together.
This is a new Card Magic effect in which, after showing and quickly shuffling a standard deck of poker cards, the magician asks a spectator...
Are you looking for a magic effect that will amaze and captivate your audience? Magico ACAAN is the perfect choice for you. This extraordinary card trick has been meticulously designed to leave everyone spellbound.
What makes Magico ACAAN so special?
An "Any Card At Any Number" effect that, brought forth from the imagination of the viewer, an instant later turns into reality.
A new card magic and mentalism effect in which the magician, after placing a case of cards on the table and randomly choosing a spectator, will ask him to imagine being in a dream.
The protagonist will be that very case from which all the cards have, however, flown away, tired of "captivity." He will have to imagine seeing them fluttering freely over the horizon, but he will also realize that, perhaps repentant or simply tired, they are coming back, toward them....
"Great effect, very clever thinking. I really like the double aspect to the effect. Well done!" - Marc Paul
Duplicity - a double holy grail ACAAN - is an exceptional variation of ACAAN that introduces a structured sequence where every action is first performed by the magician and then mirrored by the spectator. This sequencing creates a clear and logical flow, reinforcing the illusion of a true mental connection.
The strength of the effect lies in its methodical and structured process, making the final revelation feel inevitable and astonishing. The use of an app is justified as a means of...
An impossible dual deck ACAAN.
Imagine performing a stunning ACAAN-style effect over video chat using two separate decks - one in your hands and one completely out of your control in your spectator's possession. Double Cross ACAAN blends the principles of "Do as I Do" and ACAAN to create a truly impossible experience.
Both you and your spectator shuffle your own decks. They freely select a card and a number, and you do the same. Despite the total fairness, an unbelievable coincidence occurs: in both decks - yours and the one remotely controlled by the spectator - the chosen cards appear...
A hands-off self-working ACAAN.
Imagine performing the cleanest and most impossible Any Card At Any Number effect ever conceived. No sleight of hand, no interference, no magician's touch after the experiment begins.
A spectator freely thinks of a card. Then, through a random process (reading off the hundreds of a stop watch), they generate a number between 1 and 52.
Yet, when they take the deck and count down to their chosen number, their card is right there.
No suspicious moves, no apparent method. Just an experiment that seems beyond anyone's control - yet works flawlessly every...

A.I. After quickly showing and shuffling the deck, he asks a spectator to roll one or two dice that are...
A shuffled deck, never touched again by the magician. Through a seemingly fair and random process, both a card and a number are generated - completely out of the magician's control.
Yet, against all odds, the selected card appears in the exact position dictated by the freely chosen number.
A perfect fusion of classic magic and modern technology, delivering an impossible and unforgettable experience. Are you ready to Generate the impossible?
Please note that you will need a phone, or computer, your own or the spectator's, so that the spectator can visit a particular website.
[Note:...
A freely named card. A freely chosen number. A shuffled deck that the magician never touches.
Yet, against all logic, the card appears exactly at the chosen position. No gimmicks, no sleight-of-hand - just an astonishing effect that seems beyond explanation.
Leveraging the power of subtle psychology and indirect use of web apps, The Ultimate ACAAN pushes the boundaries of what feels like real magic.
Please note that you will need a phone, or computer, your own or the spectator's, so that the spectator can visit a particular website that displays probabilities of chosen cards.

What if your birthdate determined your Lucky Card, and what if that card was found in the exact position predicted in a shuffled deck - without the magician ever touching the cards?
With Lucky Card, you introduce a powerful connection between a deck of playing cards and the calendar, leading to an astonishing and impossible revelation. A spectator freely selects their birthdate, discovering a unique card linked to it. Then, against all odds, that very card is found at a specific position in a deck that has been set aside from the start.
Completely hands-off and deeply personal, Lucky...
Note: This effect necessarily requires learning the coding method explained here: My Secret Coding for a Thought-of Card
An amazing mind reading effect with a surprising "Any Card At Any Number" ending, using my new Secret Two Person Codes.
This is a mentalism effect that uses my recently published Secret Verbal Encoding to not only allow the medium to mentally identify a chosen card but to allow him (or her) a surprise final A.C.A.A.N. (Any Card At Any Number), in which he (or she) will announce the number that will cause the spectator himself to find a copy of his card, having been told which color of the deck to use,...
Discover the Revolutionary Magic of GiACAAN. Gino D'Alessandro, a young prodigy in the world of Italian card magic, has brought a breath of fresh air to magical effects with his extraordinary routine GiACAAN. Inspired by the legendary Slow ACAAN version of his master Gianluigi Sordellini, Gino has created something truly unique and spectacular.
Why GiACAAN is a Must-Have?
A true masterpiece of precision and impossibility: Mr. Diseau ACAAN. If you're looking for an effect that combines the charm of Card at Any Number with a fully interactive experience for your audience, this routine is perfect for you.
Imagine this: a spectator freely cuts a deck and selects two cards, leaving them face down on the table without looking. Next, they choose a card from several packets, memorize it, and reassemble the deck. Only then are the initial two cards revealed, their values added together, and the resulting number used to count down in the deck. The card found at that...
An incredible new "Any Card At Any Number" effect that magically comes to fruition, despite the fact that the card and a set of numbers are chosen by a spectator, in a carousel of cards turned face to face and back to back.
An A.C.A.A.N. that develops into a dance of cards, realizing itself on the edge of the impossible.
Twisting the AC...AAN is a new card magic effect themed "Any Card At Any Number," in which the magician, shown and quickly shuffled a deck of cards, holding the deck face-up in his right hand, begins to drop the cards into the palm of his left hand, performing a dribble...
Effect: A spectator selects a card, which they then lose in the deck themselves. The performer tries in vain to find it. To locate the card, the spectator randomly points to four cards, and at the total value indicated by these, the spectator's chosen card will be found exactly.
This routine is a blend of two routines: one by Benjamin Earl and the other by Israel Rodriguez.

Among the hundreds of ACAAN effects, this one stands out. It offers a unique experience for the spectator that's far from boring. The spectator takes center stage, performing most actions, which makes the effect seem totally impossible. From the outset, the spectator isn't sure what to expect. The Number deck, different and intriguing, invites curiosity. It can be examined until rapture - it's not gimmicked.
This effect is simple to perform, involving only one minor sleight - if you can even call it that and you can skip it if you want. For those considering learning a stack deck, this...
An unprecedented effect of semi-automatic card magic, on the theme of Any Card At Any Number, in which the irrational dread for Number 13 is the protagonist.
An all-new virtually self-working card magic trick in which the number 13 plays the leading role in an "Any Card At Any Number" effect: a spectator freely chooses which of the four Kings to eliminate from the deck. Then, from a dozen other cards at random, two will be chosen, whose sum of values will incredibly determine the number 13. A card of the same suit as the King chosen at the beginning will then be 'generated' and, magically...
An unprecedented Semi-Automatic A.C.A.A.N. effect that will amaze: a spectator freely chooses, from a few cards, one representing value, one for suit, and the sum of the values of the others will return the position in the deck in which the card will be found.
The title plays on the words "Some Suit of Value", where "Some" is pronounced the same way as "Sum" and both "Suit" and "Value" can be referred to playing cards. In fact, this effect involves the spectator choosing after the deck has been shuffled and cut, from a group of six cards that will be drawn, one card that will represent...
Effect: From a deck of cards, the spectator selects a card and then loses it in the deck without showing it to anyone. The performer takes another deck of cards, shuffles it, and shows that each card is in a random position. He notices two twin cards in the center. Taking advantage of this, he says it's a sign of fate and that he will use the twin cards to find the selected card, even though he doesn't know what it is. He shuffles the deck again, and magically, the pair of twin cards capture a card, which turns out to be the twin of the chosen one. Undeterred, the performer adds the value...
A novel semi-automatic effect in which a spectator rolls a pair of dice and freely chooses any card, to arrive at a random spot in the deck where two more cards will determine both a random card and a number where it will be magically found.
A new semi-automatic card magic effect, where the magician, once introduced to an ordinary deck of poker cards, proceeds with a quick shuffle and finally hands it to a spectator, asking her to cut it into three parts. She shuffles the last one and chooses from it any card. Before turning it over, the magician announces that its value, added to that...
A semi-automatic and completely impromptu Any-Card-At-Any-Number effect, in which a spectator rolls a pair of (imaginary) dice to draw a number, and randomly chooses a card, only to incredibly succeed in finding it, after the stop decided by the magician at the turning of the cards, at the very number he indicated.
An almost self-working "Any Card At Any Numer" effect, always improvisable, where the magician, once introduced to an ordinary 52-card poker deck (minus the Jokers), even possibly borrowed, hands it to a spectator to shuffle freely. Having got the cards back, he hands the first...
"I love your new creation! Great illustrations. A well-structured semi-automatic card trick that could be repeated immediately at table-hopping. I like that instead of the usual counting, only the cards of a chosen color are counted this time." - Dr. Hans-Christian Solka
A new card effect, completely self-working and hands-off, in which it will be the spectator, after freely choosing the color, to find the card at the number as traditionally in any good A.C.A.A.N.
This is a new automatic and completely hands-off card magic effect, where the magician, once the deck has been introduced, shuffled and quickly...
An always-ready Any-Card-At-Any-Number effect, with a borrowed deck of cards that will never be touched by the magician and will leave everyone amazed.
This is an Impromptu "Any Card At Any Number" card magic effect that the illusionist is always able to perform, even with an incomplete and borrowed deck, and the most incredible thing is that he will never touch the deck of cards but will simply give all the instructions to the spectator.
After freely shuffling a deck and secretly taking a small group of cards from the center, so that the magician does not even know how many cards it...
An amazing self-working "Any Card At Any Number" effect, which uses two simple decks of cards, two dice and two chips to let fate play with dice.
This is an incredibly automatic card magic and mentalism effect, of the "Any Card At Any Number" genre, which uses two simple poker decks of 52 cards, two common six-sided number dice, and two casino chips bearing the words "SUIT" and "VALUE" on them.
The illusionist will call on a female spectator to help him as he explains how often throughout history both playing cards and dice may have influenced the fates of many men.
He will then present...
This is not a trick but a performance piece.
It is called Performer's ACAAN because
An effortless variation on the ACAAN plot where a thought-of card is found at the magician's predicted number.
The magician writes down a prediction on a business card before asking the spectator to make up a playing card:
Note: For those of you who own ACAAN: A Fresh Approach to an Age-Old Plot, this uses a totally different principle.
Imagine:
The magician introduces a special deck of 52 cards, where each card is seen to have a number 1 through 52 printed on it. The spectators (two of them) are asked to verify that all the numbers are indeed different, that there aren't any duplicate numbers. The magician hands one spectator this special deck (in a face-down position) and says, "I want you to select a number 1 through 52. But instead of just thinking of a number 1 through 52, I want you to randomly select one. Like that, even you don't know...

ACAAN without Pain, Tear, Sweat or Fear
Worker's ACAAN is one ACAAN that will leave your audience speechless. Its method enables seamless execution which in turn delivers unparalleled mystery. Once you understand the method, it will be impossible to forget. This is the only ACAAN you'll depend upon the rest of your life.
With Double A.C.A.A.N. you will perform exactly the miracle the title promises: using a simple deck of 52 cards that is unmarked and not gimmicked in any way, you will find first one and then another card, both random, after generating a number in an equally unusual and random way.
A special "pad" to be printed in A3+ size, made available as PDF, will be the ideal mat for performing the effect. The various boxes will be completed, first with the choice of a mystery card kept face down and then two uncovered cards, the union of whose suit and value attributes will form a new card absolutely...
An incredible A.C.A.A.N. effect completely in the hands of the spectator.
The title of this eBook contains the acronym for "Any Card At Any Number," and in fact the new version explained here, incredibly automatic and completely hands-off, of this famous card magic and mentalism effect, is capable of surprising even many magicians (we can say this with full knowledge of the facts, having personally tested it in magic circles) and guaranteeing a "devastating" impact on the audience.
After introducing and quickly showing a normal deck of cards, the magician shuffles, and cuts, then places...
The title of this eBook contains the well-known acronym for Any Card At Any Number, and illustrates my latest original and self-working version of the famous David Berglas' card magic effect, here featuring an original presentation and a devastating final surprise for the audience. Following is the presentation...
Some recurring rumors would report that NASA's delays with the launches of new rockets intended for planetary exploration are justified by problems with the "Countdown." Referring to this, the illusionist tells the audience how their engineers have recently allowed themselves to be convinced...
This impromptu semi-automatic effect can be immediately performed in any situation in which a simple deck of cards is available. After having a spectator shuffle the deck, the magician will have her choose a number and a card in the most casual manner possible (by randomly raising two small packs of cards), have the viewer shuffle again and cut the deck several times, reassemble it, and propose to find her chosen card. But, after practically proving its impossibility by relying solely on chance or luck, he will remember that the spectator also secretly keeps a number in her mind and challenge...
This is an amazing semi-automatic A.C.A.A.N. effect (the acronym stands for: Any Random Card At Any Numbers' Sum), requiring no stooges or any sophisticated technique.
A case containing a deck of cards is placed by the magician in full view on the table, even before the effect begins. Spectators are asked to point to a card, starting with the suit and then deciding its value through two absolutely free choices of their own. Just to further demonstrate total arbitrariness, they are asked to point to some other value from 1 to 13 and the whole thing, including the previous choices, is noted...
A merge of ACCAN and Do As I Do.
ACAAN is one of the most loved card plots and Do As I Do is one of the most ignored. ACAAN meets a Monkey is a unique cross-over between both of them.
Here two cards get chosen, one by the performer and one by the participant. Both cards are then lost and the cards get shuffled. Both cards are later found by the participant at the number that the participant decides on.
Flow of Events:
A.C.A.A.N. effects are a genre of effects now considered classics in card magic and mentalism, ever since David Berglas, who precisely first proposed a legendary version of it, called it "Any card At Any Number."
The idea of trying to write this special eBook came about while I was preparing my Contactless Automatic Card At Number series of Volumes (now at 6 Volumes) and experimenting in particular with the possibility of creating new automatic effects by making use of various stacks, including Si Stebbins and my VR Stack Pro (see Vol. 2 & 3):
From here to examining the Si Stebbins Pro, devised by Dr. Hans Christian Solka, was a short step, and with pleasure...
ACAAN is a genre of card magic and mentalism effect that has now become a classic since it was first proposed by the great David Berglas, who was the first to call it "Any card At Any Number".
This version of mine is very easy to perform but, if well presented, will be likely to arouse great amazement among both magicians and lay audiences, and can be performed as well in Close-Up as on Stage. It simply requires an ordinary deck of 52 cards and possibly a pair of very ordinary six-sided dice (but it can also be just imaginary dice for each of which the spectators will decide the score), and you will...
This sixth part of my card project (each volume is, in any case, totally independent of the others) includes 3 new original A.C.A.A.N. effects requiring no sleight of hands:
It's a new series of hands-off self-working card magic effects, that will all happen in your viewer's hands. No particular skill is required, just the ability to instruct and pay attention to what the viewer is doing... In this third eBook you will find a colour Pdf that will allow you to perform amazing automatic "Any Card At Any Number"...
