The I Ching Oracle Divination Cards have been designed as an alternative to more traditional ways of consulting the I Ching (e.g., those using coins or sticks).
PDF templates are provided (both US and European page sizes) that you can print out yourself to make the cards. Please note that no actual cards are supplied. You can use standard Avery Business Card stock (e.g., C32015 for European A4, or #8471 for American Letter). Avery stock is pre-cut allowing quick and very clean separation of the cards. Alternatively you can use ordinary medium weight card stock and cut the cards manually to size. For durability and ease of handling, it is recommended that each card is laminated using credit-card size laminating pouches.
The I Ching Card templates comprise:
- Eight Trigram cards – you should print out TWO sets of these.
- 64 Hexagram cards – you should print out ONE set of these.
Examples of card designs:
The brief texts that appear on each hexagram card are modern psychological interpretations of the traditional hexagram meanings, as used in Michael Daniels' online I Ching Oracle at www.psychicscience.org/ching3.aspx
Also included is a chart indicating how each hexagram is formed from two trigrams. You can print this out (and optionally laminate) for reference.
The ebook fully describes SIX different methods of using the cards to consult the I Ching Oracle.
[Note that this PDF is included with Michael's other ebook OCD and other effects.]
