You show two cards from both sides. One is the Queen of Hearts and the other is the Jack of Spades. The Queen of Hearts has a big square hole cut from its center. You briefly put these two cards together, separate them again, and suddenly the Jack of Spades has a round hole cut from its center and the Queen of Hearts is restored without a hole. The hole moved from the Queen to the Jack and changed from a square hole to a round hole.

This small packet trick combines several color changes. You start by showing five blank cards. Showing them again one of the blank cards has changed into a king with a blue back. You table this king. This process continues until you have all four kings with blue backs on the table and one blank card in the hand. The remaining blank card changes to one with a red back. Suddenly all five cards have red backs, and as the climax, you fan the five cards face-up and you now hold a royal flush.

You start by showing four cards from the back, one of which is orange, while the others have red backs. The front of the orange-backed card is blank. You table that card. As you show the three remaining red-backed cards for the second time, one has changed to a blue back. The front is again blank. You show four regular playing cards and a coin. When you count the cards again one card suddenly has a huge hole cut out of its center. You place this card aside and count the remaining three cards. You show four Eight of Diamonds. On one you draw a large X and you ask the spectator to follow it. You turn the cards face-down, and after some mixing, you table the cards one after each other face-down. When you turn the cards face-up they have all changed to aces. You show four cards with blue dots and another four cards with red dots. Then you stick a blue dot over a red dot card and a red dot over a blue dot card. After 5 seconds the dot color of the remaining three cards in each packet has changed, too.

You continue to mix the cards but they always separate into packs of the same color, like oil and water separate. In the final sequence, you remove the two dots you stuck on in the first phase and the colors change again magically.

You show two packs of four blank cards each. You stick a blue dot on the top card of one pile and suddenly all these four cards have blue dots. You do the same with the red dot and the other pile. Then you exchange the top cards of these two piles. The remaining cards follow their leaders because the pack that had blue dots before has now the red dots and vice versa. When you take off a red dot and a blue dot from one card each, the remaining cards return to blank cards.

You show, one by one, red and black cards perfectly mixed. That is, you show a red card, then a black card, then a red card, a black card, and so on, until you have shown 8 cards. But when you are done with showing the interleaved cards they are already separated.

This count is perfect for an oil and water routine or any other situation where you need to show cards mixed, but in the process of showing them mixed, they are being separated.

You show a packet of four black kings with blue backs and you place them face-down on the table. You further show four red queens. Waving the queens face-up over the face-down kings suddenly turns them all face-down as well. Another magical gesture and the four red queens are now four black kings. You place the packs together and suddenly the cards magically mix. Finally, you show all cards individually as totally normal except that the backs of the queens have now suddenly turned to red. No additional cards. No double-facers and no double-backers or other gimmicked cards.
