The Phoenix was a biweekly periodical published in New York by Walter Gibson and Bruce Elliott. After issue 73, Bruce Elliott ran it alone. A total of 300 issues were published. It was meant to continue in spirit and quality the legendary Jinx, which ceased after Annemann's death in January of 1942. And indeed, The Phoenix continued to publish excellent and innovative material.
