Alton C. Sharpe
(Dallas, Texas: 1924 - 21st December 2004)
Pro sleight-of-hand. Then lawyer and semi-pro magician. In 1951 bought Joe Berg's shop in Chicago, which he ran as the Sharpe Studio of Magic until 1957 when sold to Clarke Crandall. Bought Ade Duval's silk act after the latter's retirement in 1955. Wrote Expert Hocus-Pocus (1961, 173pp) and Expert Card Mysteries (1969, 141pp), etc. Editor-publisher in Beverly Hills of Ollapodrida irregularly since 1983. Died of a massive blood clot on the brain.
