With full name Samuel Leo Horowitz. Aka "Leo Hartz", "Dr. Chung", and "Mohammed Bey". Pro since teens. One of the 5 original members of the New York "Inner Circle" by 1932. Member of the "Secret Six". Voted one of the 10 living Card Stars in 1938. Mentor of Roy Fromer. Invented Tilt (1st version) c1941 and Spirit Cartography.

Wrote 3 booklets: Mohammed Bey's routines for the Jardine Ellis Ring on Stick (1952, 8pp), Mohammed Bey's Routine with the Okito Coin Box, and More Mohammed Bey Routines with the Okito Coin Box (1956, 11pp), the latter 2 being reprinted together as Mohammed Bey's Routines with the Okito Coin Box and More (1963). Tricks and articles in Greater Magic, Jinx, Sphinx, Phoenix, New Phoenix, Hugard's Magic Monthly, and Pallbearers Review.
