Mouse Animation the Tom Harris Way by Ian Adair

Excerpt from the introduction:

... what I fell in love with was Tom's mouse. If it wasn't a mouse it would be a pet rat. He would introduce it under all conditions, anywhere, anytime. It was not only a superb talking point, but sheer entertainment. I even saw him introduce it at a British Ring Banquet. Whilst seated at the table, he unwisely brought the mouse out. It ran up his jacket, jumped here and there and caused a lot of controversy. Unwisely, because the young waitress, serving hot bowls of soup at the tables, saw it, and in screaming, threw the bowl of soup into the air in fright. Luckily no one was scolded and it was all in fun. Tom of course, used the antics of his mouse to amuse children too, and he became well known for his clever animation.
