Slydini Fan Steal1 minute video with small explanations. I would expect a little more info and tips.

Counting Terminology

Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Sunday 01 December, 2024)

Counting TerminologyThis is a very short video, but it explains something that I've never seen clearly explained anywhere else. I'm not sure it's worth the price, but I don't regret my purchase since it answered my questions.

Slydini Fan Steal

Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Saturday 06 April, 2024)

Slydini Fan StealIt's short and to the point. For $2 it was a bargain as this was a sleight I didn't know. And it's the great Allan Ackerman teaching it.

Ackerman Convincing Control

Overall customer rating: ★★★

reviewed by Jan Siebold (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Thursday 14 September, 2023)

Ackerman Convincing ControlThe video is 1:46 min The convincing control cannot be explained in that amount of time. So what is the content? Ackerman shows his way of doing the convincing control as if you already know how to perform the convincing control.

The 2. way he is doing it, is more or less the way I already was doing it (probably learned from a script from Racherbaumer).

You cannot learn the convincing control from this download! If you research for different versions of the convincing control go for it: the price is low ;-)

The convincing control itself is imho in general and for most cases the BEST slide to control a selection to the bottom of the deck (without other action)!

However, if you want to learn the slide, search for other sources (e.g. "Versatile Card Magic" by Frank Simon). I saw there is a download from Racherbaumer "Cull-Mination" on this platform. I haven't read it, but probably it's a good start to learning the convincing control, too.

10-Card Trick

Overall customer rating: ★★★★★

reviewed by David Cottrell (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Saturday 24 December, 2022)

10-Card TrickThis is a well thought out fun routine that should entertain and please every audience! However in order to learn the "false count" one must also purchase "Alan Ackerman Advance Card Control #7". #7 has this routine on it.

Advanced Card Control Volume 7: False Counts

Advanced Card Control Volume 7: False CountsThis is great! The magic is tremendous and the production is of great quality! Alan Ackerman may be the best!

Side Steal To Top

Overall customer rating: ★★★★★

reviewed by Jan Siebold (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★ (Date Added: Friday 23 September, 2022)

Side Steal To TopThis is way too brief. The video is 1 min 4 sec long and is simply an exposure of the most simple "side steal to top". Not only are no finesses taught, but this video even lacks a sufficient description of the move in its simple form. If you want to learn the side steal look somewhere else! Any description in one of your books is better.

Christ Twist and Mechanical Reverse

Overall customer rating: ★★★★

reviewed by Chris Beason (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★ (Date Added: Wednesday 17 August, 2022)

Christ Twist and Mechanical ReverseWhile both moves are unquestionably great, this download is 1 minute and 26 seconds long. I did not look at the run time before purchasing, or I wouldn't have. At first, I thought for sure I'd stumbled on the demo video before the explanation, but alas, that's the entire thing.

Find old Ackerman tapes secondhand so you'll at least be able to see him at work for longer than it takes to microwave a burrito.

Advanced Card Control Volume 3: Controls

Overall customer rating: ★★★★★

reviewed by Sarin Suriyakoon (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Thursday 03 June, 2021)

Advanced Card Control Volume 3: ControlsAs a beginner, I find this lesson most valuable since it has a lot of good controls and other things as well. As you can see in the list of the moves, the "other things" aren't exactly controls but you will appreciate and use them as much as the controls.

I know the tricks provided here don't sound exciting, but if you watch the "Palming" and "False Deal" lesson, you will be glad you watch this one.

Advanced Card Control Volume 2: False Deals

Overall customer rating: ★★★★★

reviewed by Sarin Suriyakoon (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Saturday 22 May, 2021)

Advanced Card Control Volume 2: False DealsAs a beginner card magician/serious amateur, I find this lesson very helpful to start practising these card sleights. My favourite move would be the push-off bottom deal. It is such a versatile move and has many applications.

Yes, bottom deal is a difficult move but Mr. Allan Ackerman provides you with some advice and tips to help you get started right away.

Advanced Card Control Volume 1: Palming

Overall customer rating: ★★★★★

reviewed by Sarin Suriyakoon (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Wednesday 19 May, 2021)

Advanced Card Control Volume 1: PalmingThis is a very good course on palming and all of the variations. If you would like to expand your knowledge and the possibility of palming and improve your palming quality, this course is the best choice.

Advanced Card Control Volume 2: False Deals

Overall customer rating: ★★★★★

Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Wednesday 13 July, 2016)

Advanced Card Control Volume 2: False DealsGreat video, highly recocommend it. I have 17 video clips of this series, also. I don't like the zip download format though. You'r paying $29 for the video, which is expensive, so why not watch it, several times?? Instead of just watching clips that suit your particular needs. I like to watch the video, several times, just to get the general overview, and a better perspective, of what's being taught. Then after that, I will then pick out several clips, that I can use, for my own card manipulations. You can't get that from books. Books are very limited, not enough illustrations, and a waste of time to go through. With videos, you can eliminate the guessing games, you'll get, in reading books.

This is in response to the product description.

Jiminy Cricket Count

Overall customer rating: ★★★★★

reviewed by Paul Budd (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★★ (Date Added: Monday 18 April, 2011)

Jiminy Cricket CountThis is an extremely clever little count....it really is. My complaint isn't really with the count itself, but it's how so many of these Ackerman segments have been sliced up here at the Lybrary. Granted, you can buy a big ole' video here if you want to spend the $$.....but these little segments are so brief it creates a disjointed experience. Just when you start to get "into" the video....it's over! Again, they're cheap..........and you can "buy" a whole bunch of them in tiny slices, or a big one for a pretty healthy chunk of change or just one if that's all you want.....but I just don't think I'm going to buy any video here again that runs for less than about 3 minutes in total....it's just a mental thing, that's all.

Little Noise for Double Lift

Overall customer rating: ★★★★

reviewed by Paul Budd (confirmed purchase)
Rating: ★★★★ (Date Added: Saturday 02 January, 2010)

Little Noise for Double LiftWell, um, gee.....what can I say? Before ordering, please note that this video is only 42 seconds in length....so please don't expect "Gone With the Wind" or anything. This is merely Allan teaching a tiny little subtlety......that's all. Now, it certainly wouldn't be right for me to release the "secret" contained within any video......no siree.......but, suffice it to say that I bet you've accidentally made this noise while executing a double before. If you can't surmise what that noise is/how to do it, then I guess you could toss out a buck-fifty for this little item. It doesn't deserve a "bad" rating because it delivered what it promised and was shot/edited professionally.....no issues there. With the above noted, purchase as thou will.
