An amazing 'Any Card At Any Number' effect, in which a spectator chooses any card and finds it again, incredibly guided by a series of three simple operations, arbitrarily decided based on his free choice.
A highly original "Any Card At Any Number" effect, in which the illusionist explains how many of our decisions are influenced today, despite ourselves, by mathematics and computers, as demonstrated, for example, by the spread of Artificial Intelligence.
After taking a deck of cards out of its case and placing it face down on the table, he asks a spectator to freely think of any card in the deck, which he must not reveal to anyone.
The magician then explains that, starting from this card, they will decide on a number corresponding to the position where they would like to find it in the deck. But to do this, they will use three simple mathematical operations: multiplication, addition, and finally subtraction.
The numbers to which the individual operations are to be applied will be determined alternately by the magician, before the value of the chosen card is revealed, and by the spectator, reducing the result of various calculations decided by him to a single digit...
Once the three operations have been indicated and written down on a blackboard (or a notepad) in a clearly visible place, the spectator will finally reveal the value of the chosen card, and, starting from this, the number will be determined. Counted by the spectator, starting from the top of the deck, this card will magically turn out to be the same as that card!
Strengths:
- The deck of cards is opened and left in plain sight from the start of the experiment.
- The magician does not manipulate the cards in any way.
- At the end, the entire deck can be shown face up.
- The effect is practically automatic (self-working).
- The guaranteed result will be inexplicable to everyone
