ACAAN Dream Becomes True by Biagio Fasano

An "Any Card At Any Number" effect that, brought forth from the imagination of the viewer, an instant later turns into reality.

A new card magic and mentalism effect in which the magician, after placing a case of cards on the table and randomly choosing a spectator, will ask him to imagine being in a dream.

The protagonist will be that very case from which all the cards have, however, flown away, tired of "captivity." He will have to imagine seeing them fluttering freely over the horizon, but he will also realize that, perhaps repentant or simply tired, they are coming back, toward them. Just before they go back into their slip case, he will be able to catch one with both hands, while the more agile and trained mentalist will catch a couple: one in each hand.

Looking at them, the latter will notice that they are two spot cards, of no particularly significant value. But the mentalist will also say that he suddenly realizes that together they indicate a precise number, which he portends to be very important for the sequel. Therefore, he delicately places them back on top of the deck, while all the other cards are coming back in and positioning themselves freely inside the case. Meanwhile, the spectator's one will also have managed to escape him and is rejoining the others, but not before he has managed to see which card it is and is therefore invited now to announce its value, for the first time, aloud.

At that point, the illusionist will clap his hands, as if to awaken him from the dream, and opening the case will show its first two cards, which, taken together, will return a precise number. Just by counting up to the card that occupies that position in the deck, it will happen punctually to find exactly the chosen card, to the amazement and applause of the audience!

Strengths:

  • The deck of cards is placed in view on the table from the beginning of the experiment.
  • Everything happens first in the mind of the spectator.
  • The magician does not perform any manipulation.
  • The deck can be taken out of the case by the spectator himself.
  • At the end everything can be examined.
  • The cards are all present and there are no duplicates.
