You need to perform this under somewhat dimmed lighting conditions with some distance to your audience. It is best performed off-beat when nobody expects you to perform a magic trick. For example, it has become dark and you want to light a candle. Take a box of matches, light a match, and suddenly the match floats for 2-3 seconds. Then you light the candle with it.
