Robert Nelson was one of the most prolific, and knowledgeable, writers in the field of Mentalism.
As an aficionado of two person telepathy acts, I bought this book to add to my collection.
Nelson has produced a carefully graduated course for anyone wishing to learn this specialist act, and brings the benefit of experience to the course as well.
There are certain parts of the code that may appear quite “stiff” to modern audiences. Times change, and the detailed footnotes in the text reflect this and offer the reader additional information or resources to personalise and modernise their act!
I especially liked the section on coding questions to the medium; Nelson has drawn on the pioneering works of C A Conlin to give you a list of 99 most common questions, and useful subdivisions for further elucidation.
Even if you never perform a Q&A act this way, the list of probabilities will help your Cold Reading!
Despite its generous 150+ page length, and encyclopaedic tone, Nelson’s book does not cover certain “positional” codes or silent ones. However there’s more than enough information here to create your own.
I’d throughly recommend the book for both the collector/archivist and the serious mentalist.

This is one of the best Nelson booklets available here. The blurb is correct. This method is simplicity itself and very practical. You probably already know the principle involved but it doesn't matter, you'll still like the handling and tips. Nelson gives you a workable Q&A act with no fluff for $8. Very satisfied with this product.

As a performer with impaired vision sometimes a peek is a difficult thing for me to do the methods and ideas outline in this book are very easy and though the experience I have had performing this for audiences over the last year is VERY deceptive. The book was compiled well, this is an abridged version of the original from Robert A. Nelson but I feel this abridged version is nice and contains all the right information. Once again for the money... you're probably not getting a cleaner Q&A.

Nothing new for those who already know the subject, some things that today are ridiculous and for the flower...it's cute.

Sensational Effects (Nelson)
"Bob Nelson knows how to impress the spectators with the fact that mental telepathy is a fact, and he explains exactly how to do it. In these effects he shows you how to MAKE PEOPLE BELIEVE exactly what you wish them to believe, and the impact of the tests and experiments is terrific.
"Invaluable to all who do, or aspire to do, this type of work, for it is a digest of the knowledge gathered over a period of many years by a specialist in this field. Recommended."

There are more indepth descriptions of Table Tipping on the market; for example 'Come Good Spirits' by Eddie Joseph holds an excellent treatise. Other fine methods are included in 'How to Make a Ghost Walk' by Dunninger. This e-book 'Mystery of the Gyrating Tables' leaves much to be desired in comparison with the aforementioned titles.

This was a fascinating read. Interestingly, this author claims that this book is the only authentic account of the feats of Axel Hellstrom.

Well, I must say the idea is not new. But materials are really hard to find to make this gimmick. Also describtion is a little misleading. I did not learn anything new as I was already using this on a book test. Also another product so kind of disappointed. So I get nothing new. Also building the gimmick is much of a pain.
