Magicians have always incorporated the latest technologies into their miracles. Electronics is no exception. This ebook deals with effects that use lights and switches in deceptive ways. The Magic Switchboard effect with four switches and four lights is the most well-known of them, but there are others. Electronics is at the heart of their methods.
Little has been published about these effects in the past. One can find bits and pieces in the magic literature, but most of the necessary information to understand these tricks has not been released in a comprehensive form before. The Magic Switchboard ebook remedies this fact. Electronics is my profession. I have an engineering, master's, and PhD degrees in electronics. If there is one subject I do understand from its foundational principles all the way to how it is used in a variety of applications, it is electronics. In this ebook, I have combined my passions for magic and electronics and dove deep into the subject of the magic switchboard and how simple lights and switches can be used for deceptive purposes.
You will learn all the details to build them yourself. That includes circuit diagrams and their explanations. In some cases, several versions are described. The circuits range from very simple, which anybody, even without any specific knowledge about electronics, can build, to moderately complex, which will require some experience with electronics, or the willingness to learn and experiment with it.
