Fantasy ACAAN by Biagio Fasano

A card and a number, generated by a spectator's imagination, find a perfect match in reality, in a deck of cards that was in plain sight, on the table, from the beginning.

An incredible mentalism effect with playing cards, in which the illusionist tells of an ancestral magical ritual in which all the cards participate, gathering at a sacred mountain ... There, in the grip of visions caused by alcohol and drug abuse, each will discover its assigned "place in life". A kind woman imagines their "return to their village," still tipsy and staggering enough that she easily succeeds in blocking any one card and that the same thing succeeds in doing the magician with a pair of other cards, whose values will return a number. First, the mentalist, then the spectator name their cards: all will incredibly turn out to be of the same color and, back in reality, magically they will find in the deck, always left in full view, her own card at the indicated number.

Points of Strengths:

  • From the very beginning, a transparent case, showing the back of the cards, is placed in view on the table.
  • Everything happens first in the viewer's imagination.
  • A huge variety of cards can be chosen freely.
  • The mentalist does not perform any manipulation.
  • Eventually, everything can be examined.
  • The cards are all present, and there are no duplicates

Please Note: This effect, while totally autonomous, could nevertheless be considered complementary to ACAAN: Dream Becomes True by the same author, where it was cunningly restricted by the narrative, unbeknownst to the spectator, from choosing one among twelve court cards. Here, on the other hand, by totally different expedients, the choice is allowed among as many as 24 different spot cards, and the spectator, at the end, will still always believe that he has freely chosen any card.
