Magnetic CoinsMark, your reputation for making quality effects is un- surpassed. I remember reading ads in the Linking Ring since oh the late 80's. This was just beautiful

The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge Volume 4

The Collected Card Magic of Mark Leveridge Volume 4A few very good tricks. All the tricks are very well explained. There are some DIY and/or some setup and/or the use of some specific cards for all the tricks, so these tricks are not for everybody. But the DIY is easy and needs items you can find easily, and the specific cards are cards you can find also easily.

Hide and SeekA bit pricey for one card trick, but the trick is a good one. A novel plot well presented, and the instructions are excellent!

Six Appeal

Six AppealThis is a fantastic effect! Just watching the demo gave me several presentation ideas. It's easy to do, so all you have to do is concentrate on your presentation.

There is a bit of DIY to make this, but it is simple and within everyone's ability to put together. It took me less than 30 minutes to assemble everything.

While it can be performed anywhere in your show, Six Appeal will be my new opener for my stand-up show. It gives you a chance to interact with multiple audience members without having to get them on stage.

You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

The Strolling Magician

The Strolling MagicianLots of info - Magical effects: A wide variety with some great ideas which can be utilized in multiple genres (cards, coins, close-up, parlor) - Performance and theory: solid discussion and suggestions plus dealing with many different types of situations. Major value here - I definitely feel like I got "bang for my buck" !!! (I've been into magic for over 50 years and a serious hobbyist for over 30). Theory, performance tips, actual magic effects - I will re-read this one. Very pleased with this purchase.

Devil's Island

Overall customer rating: ★★★★

Rating: ★★★★ (Date Added: Thursday 23 February, 2023)

Devil's IslandI love the premise. This type of magic / mentalism appeals to my style and performance. It's not just a trick. It is an audience engaging story and effect. I love the clever buried treasure approach and the fact I can involve up to eight people from the audience. The effect and props can easily be modified from close-up to parlor or even to stage. I must underscore this is a well-constructed piece of mentalism, but as I am a practicing mentalist, I almost immediately recognized the underlying methods used to fool the audience. This is not a complaint. The point is it FOOLED the audience! If the entertainment value is greater than the method, then the method doesn't matter! In this specific case, "Devil's Island" has high audience entertainment value. It is sound mentalism delivered expertly. Additionally, the price for this piece is so reasonable that I appreciated having the short three-page explanation spelling out each step ... saving me reconstruction time (like I said, I know the underlying methods being deployed, but it is not like the steps are crystal clear from a single viewing). The "Devil's Island" concept itself is uniquely entertaining and fun for the audience. I like it a lot, BUT I really love the fact I was also able to rearrange the root premise to fit my own show's approach and style. To be clear, instead of buried treasure I rearranged the foundational method to work with a selection of random movie posters. I do a lot of movie-themed magic, and I believe and hope this will be a nice, entertaining mystery addition for my show. It is a fun piece of mentalism and I highly recommend and commend Mark Leveridge's genius construction.

Keeping Control

Keeping ControlI'm a serious amateur intermediate magician. I already did some shows and close-up. From my experience, I must say that all that Mark Leveridge wrote, is true. He thought about all the details and gives practical advice. I recommend this booklet at least to all the hobbyist magicians, but I think it can also be useful to some professional magicians. I think that even you are a hobbyist, you must put on your magic as a professional, and for that, this booklet will help you. I'm sure of that.

Magicseen No. 68 (May 2016)

Magicseen No. 68 (May 2016)To my shame I have not subscribed to Magicseen as no shelf space left for real books. The article by the magazine editor Mark Leveridge is easy reading on the passing of the late Paul Daniels and if I did subscribe to a paper issue I would get a PDFs copy free, now if I can convince my better half Gillian to let me put a book shelf up? I was totally surprised by the quality of contents of this magazine could not fault it.
