Bill Palmer MIMC
To people who visit the Magic Cafe, Bill Palmer is already quite familiar. Well-schooled in almost all fields of magic, he earned his living for the better part of three decades as a renaissance festival performer. During his 26 year stint as Merlin the Magician at the Texas Renaissance Festival, he performed more than 150 different magical items, including three different versions of the Floating Lady, two different versions of the Sawing in Half, the Bullet Catch, the Broken and Restored Watch, and a number of other classics.
Bill is the owner-curator of the Cups and Balls Museum, an on-line resource that contains photographs of nearly 2,000 sets of cups and balls, some of which are over 3500 years old. A graduate of Rice University with a B.A. in Germanics, Bill began translating instructions for German magic tricks for a number of magic dealers in 1983. Shortly thereafter he was invited by Craige Snader to translate the works of Ludwig Hanemann - PUNX, which are now available on Lybrary.com.
Watch for more of his work to appear here soon.
