The 'Any Card At Any Number' plot is one of the most fascinating plots in card magic. Sometimes it is referred to as 'The Berglas Effect', because David Berglas was the one who popularized it, and who is probably this effect's most skilled performer.
The basic effect goes like this. Have a spectator choose any number from 1-52 (the number of cards in a regular deck). Let's assume the spectator chooses 16. Then have him or her select any card. Say the spectator chooses the Three-of-Hearts. Now the spectator counts to the 16th card in the deck and finds the Three-of-Hearts there. Impossible! But that is the effect. How you can achieve this and similar effects you will learn from the products in this category.

52.13 ACAANUnknown Mentalist![]() ACAAN is a very popular plot in card magic and card mentalism. This is a collection of 8 ACAAN routines which are very novel, entertaining and stunning but at the same time extremely easy to perform. Although some of these are not strictly ACAAN in a true sense, they appear so to the audience. The 8 routines explained are

A Can of Mysteries 2Gerard Zitta![]() Gerard likes the ACAAN plot. Whether it is impromptu or formal, closeup or on stage, it always has a strong impact. There have been loads of methods since Mr. Berglas presented this effect in the mid 70's. For this manuscript, Gerard wanted a 100% hands off solution, direct, practical, with NO sleight of hands and doable on stage or closeup and, if possible without knowing the card nor the number. The result is not a card trick but more of a mentalism effect. EFFECT: The performer places a boxed deck of cards in full view. He won't touch it again. After a very quick and simple procedure, he writes his number down on a Post-it note - let's say, "13". He sticks it onto the card he cut to - let's say, the King of Diamonds. From a second deck - on the table from the start - he deals the cards one by one. Amazingly, the 13th card is the King of Diamonds! Self-working. No gimmick. No extra card. Ionic Force(Benny) Ben Harris![]() Ionic is a ranging force, applied with the fingers, in order to arrive at an apparently random (or unknown number).
