Dennis told me: "While many magicians admire Slydini, they don't understand what made him unique or how his approach can be employed by them." This is the ebook that will help you understand Slydini's way of doing magic.
This ebook is a very serious study of the thinking, the how and the why Slydini's System of Misdirection is so different from traditional forms of misdirection. This thinking, this manipulation of perception, is clearly demonstrated in his 'Coins Through the Table'.

★★★★★ $6 Poker RoyalFelipe Suau
An extraordinary magic trick in which the spectators will see four jacks turn face down one by one. For the final climax, the magician explains that sometimes, if poker cards are used for magic, very strange things can happen: That's when the four jacks suddenly turn into a Royal Flush. A trick with which I bluffed the audience and magicians. All you need is a special card, which is very easy to find. But this little effort is really worth it.
An impromptu version of the effect is also described, in which the cards from Ace to Four, one at a time, turn face down and then magically transform... $7.99 Taken by the AcesBiagio Fasano
A new impromptu and self-working card magic effect, in which the magician leaves a prediction in sight, a card is chosen and lost into a packet of a few cards taken at random and, when the prediction is opened and read aloud, what appears to be a joke, magically turns out to be the key to finding the chosen card!
A new self-working card magic effect, always possible to improvise (practically a packet trick) that will both amuse and fool you. The magician leaves a prediction in sight, then sets aside the two red Aces and has a spectator choose any nine cards from the deck. After one of them... $5 The Gen Volume 6 (1950)Harry Stanley & Lewis Ganson ... - ... I.B.M. - Wm. G. Strickland

Bottoms up!
Effect: A joker is shown to the audience and placed face up on top of the deck. The cards are then spread and two cards are selected and signed. The selected cards are lost into the centre of the deck. The Joker is displayed on top of the deck and with a wave turns into the first signed card. With a flick, the first signed card turns into the second signed card! Then once placed into the spectator hand, the selection turns back into a joker. For your finale, you place the joker face up on top of the... ★★★★★ $13.50 SwamiSam Dalal Swami is a fascinating mix of traditional Indian magic and contributions by international masters. I am delighted with the way Chris Wasshuber (Lybrary.com) has produced this electronic version

Mr. Prager has eliminated these and made the effect one that appears very natural while being even more deceptive than Osterlind's. The packet is turned face up. The queens no longer exist! They are, in fact, blank cards!
The cards can be given away to the spectator to keep forever!
The second version is virtually impromptu and may be done with a borrowed deck. The differences in this version are that the queens turn into aces and the queens are reproduced with a flashy (but super simple) flourish. You can then go into any routine you wish, but since you have the four aces and the four queens out and they both... ★★★★★ $15 Area 52Peter Duffie ... SEE YA LATER ELEVATOR: This simple Elevator routine is close relative to "Hellraiser" (See Effortless Card Magic). This uses more cards and offers a different finish.
WISH IT WAS LATER: Staying with the Elevator genre - the genesis of this routine lies in a Royal Marriages effect that I published some time ago. Here, two black Jacks rise through the deck, then a spectator cuts them into the deck whereupon... ★★★★★ $5 The Sphinx Volume 42 (Mar 1943 - Feb 1944)John Mulholland

★★★★★ $15 Packet RacketDavid Devlin David Devlin loves packet tricks. This new eBook contains nine of David's best packet tricks. (Volume two in this series is Packet Racket II.) Some use normal cards, some use gaffs, and some are impromptu. If you think you're getting a book about packet tricks that only magicians will appreciate, think again! This book is a terrific collection of tricks for laymen, restaurant workers, bar magicians, close-up workers, and everyone in between.
All of the tricks in this eBook are packet tricks, but most tend to have a feel of something a little bigger. Most of the effects use standard packet trick methodology... $9 Wizard (Selbit) Volume 1 (September 1905 - August 1906)P. T. Selbit

(If you are interested only in the first penetration phase you can also buy it separately with Real Pen-Etration for much less. You might also want to check out the same effect achieved with different sleights: Driven by Cameron Francis.)
In late 2003 / early 2004 Misleading Mislead stormed into the magic community and quickly gained its self-critical acclaim. However, the full routine had been trimmed down from a two-phase routine to a one-phase trick by the company who produced it. Alan was very unhappy about this as all the hard work and tested moves that took... ★★★★★ $9.50 The Hindu Thread Trick or Gypsy Thread Teach-InLewis Ganson The Gypsy Thread trick is one of those classic effects in the same league as a linking ring or cups and balls. A thread is broken into several short pieces and then magically restored into one long piece of thread. Many of the best magicians have made the gypsy thread a feature of their performances: Fred Kaps, Dany Ray, Ricky Jay, Billy McComb, Ali Bongo, Hans Trixer, Marconick and Eugene Burger to name just a few.
Lewis Ganson teaches in detail with text, photos and illustrations the ins and outs of this routine.
