You may have seen something similar in a stage version from Martin Lewis. Ralf got his inspiration from Martin's effect and worked out a pocket version of it that uses a sticky note pad.

Effect: Draw a wrong prediction of a playing card on a sticky note pad. The chosen card rises out of the same picture. Give it away as an impossible souvenir.

This is a two part routine - vanish three coins, one by one, and reproduce the same three coins again one by one.

The reason Radek prefers to first vanish coins and then make them reappear, as apposed to have three coins appear and then vanish them, is the fact that you can do this routine with borrowed coins. You start with examined coins and then show a miracle which is much stronger than the other way around. You will need three jacks or three cards with identical faces but different backs. You will also need three blank cards, two of which have the same back, and one a different back. You will also need a piece of hard wax which Peter uses to prepare one card.
