★★★★★ $10 The Möbius Strip in Magic: A treatise on the Afghan BandsPeter Prevos The Möbius strip is one of the most enigmatic principles of mathematics. A simple loop of paper transforms in unexpected ways. You will want to carry this with you in your wallet at all times, preparing yourself to wow one person or 1000.
All three versions are included in Subliminal Squares as is the alternative "Savant Square" presentation,... ★★★★★ $20 911 SummingChris Wasshuber I rarely get to work on my own creations these days. 911 Summing is one of those rare occasions. It is an effect and method I have created more than 20 years ago. Both the effect and the method are to the best of my knowledge completely new and have never been published before.
This is a math effect I have had a lot of fun with. It can even be performed as puzzle challenge rather than a magic effect. I have performed this for people twice as smart as myself - engineers, scientists, researchers, professors - you name it. Not once has anybody figured out how it is done, even though, the principle... ★★★★★ $10 Da Capo 6Werner Miller These tricks originally appeared 2006-2012 in the print magazines The Magician, Abracadabra, The Mystery Magazine, and in the online journal Visions.

1st edition 2012; 31 pages.... ★★★★★ $9 Low Vision Marking SystemDr. Hans-Christian Solka ... for a coded marking system for a standard Bicycle Rider deck. The basic pattern provided allows marking more than just value and suit, with additional markings for one-way, and position and sequences for stacked decks.
At a basic level, the system proposed by the author substitutes some (simple) math for improved visibility of the marks. Of course, it won't be long before identifying the marks will become automatic and the math will become unnecessary.
Although you might be familiar with some of the approaches, it's likely that you will find some things that could spark your own marking... ★★★★★ $8 Streamlined Newspaper PredictionDevin Knight ... trying to learn complex tearing systems and trying to memorize confusing sequences of tears? That is all about to end with Devin Knight's amazing streamlined tear, which you can learn to do in just a few minutes. You can do this without having to memorize complex tearing tables or do complex math in your head, as with almost every other method you may read in books.
No wonder, this great effect is seldom seen or performed. It is just too difficult to master for most magicians and mentalists...until now! Now, it is so easy to do, you will amaze yourself.
Effect: The performer says prior to the show, he wrote a prediction on a slip of paper. He shows the audience this prediction and places it in... ★★★★★ $5 The Assistant TestDevin Knight ... performance piece that strongly attracts and holds the interest of spectators through the brilliant application of the experienced magician’s ability to direct and manipulate a spectator’s attention. Devin Knight shares with all of us this distillation of his performer’s experience. Although math facts, and also the calendar are utilized, this entertaining piece pivots on the magician’s knowledge of what people will typically notice, and what they usually don’t take notice of. The math facts and calendar facts are treated as everyday life without snobbery, and this is a handy performance... ★★★★★ $8 The Great Apple HeistDevin Knight ... by Don Jarrard Now, this is definitely highly recommended. This is one of Devin's better books. The Apple and candy versions are great. l love the gift bag idea for the kids as it makes it easy to see who has the same amount of candy. The magician does not hide anything. It is an odd and even math trick that goes back to the 1700s that I know of. Like The Problem in Gotham or multiplying card trick or Paul Harris paperclip paradox where they disappear. Those work themselves. Not this. You must give instructions. But so easy. I do recommend leaving a cue card nearby to help when first learning... ★★★★★ $4 New Tops Volume 16 (1976)Neil Foster ... - ...

Anytime during a hearing when someone gave a date, he would immediately interrupt the proceedings with the day of the week--"I direct your attention to August 25, 2017."... ★★★★★ $0 Si-StepSteve Sanders ... and for people who do not like mental arithmetic.

Reviewed by Brad Smithart This is my first attempt at working with a stacked deck. It's something I've avoided since I've been concerned with the memorization and/or mental math required. I believe the approach advocated in Si-Step will be a good place for me to start, since it provides a lot of techniques to limit both of those requirements. And using a standard stack like the Si Stebbins stack means I should be able to leverage a lot of the existing resources available.

And yet, the performer is able to successfully and exactly divine the final result immediately.
The best part is that this is instantly repeatable with a different outcome. In fact, you can theoretically repeat this routine over 3000 times with 3000 different outcomes. The math ability needed for the performer is all that of a third-grade student. Figuratively speaking, the impact is almost like Tyson delivering a knockout punch.
VISPER TWO: In this routine different human shapes and different colors are used. Again no words or numbers are displayed. But here only... $4.95 Triplets 9Gregg Webb ... and at other times he would take time off to go and perform magic in a circus. He learned magic from old German magic books, being multilingual. In fact, he wrote for both German and American-speaking newspapers. And when writing the books on the printing business, one can see his ability at math on display, and one is reminded of his having gone to a school where they specialized in speed drills for math, which would serve him well. All in all, Gallaway was a fascinating man.
Gregg has been meeting many magicians lately, and he has tried to keep up with that fact in his section on... ★★★★★ $30 LogsquareUnknown Mentalist
When mental logs get married to magic squares, the result is an effect of extraordinary beauty. Logsquare is a giant leap forward in both the fields of magic squares and mental logs - a revolutionary synthesis.
Without even looking at the chosen mental logs, you can not only predict the total but also create a magic square whose magic sum equals that total. And all this in just 5 to 10 seconds with almost zero math skills. Yes, literally in 5 to 10 seconds. And the only math ability you need is to be able to add 3 or to be able to subtract 2. Unbelievable but true. Impossible until now,... Displaying 169 to 192 (of 678 products)
