A completely impromptu ACAAN routine in which a single card points in two directions.
The spectator freely selects two cards and they are returned to the deck and shuffled. The magician then has the spectator freely name another card, which is openly placed into the center of the deck. After being controlled to the middle, the value of the indicator card points left and right to reveal the spectator's two original selections.
Performance transcript:
- Give the deck a shuffle.
- Have the spectator freely name two cards.
- The 3 of Spades and the Jack of Diamonds.
- Insert the two cards into different parts of the deck.
- Give the deck a shuffle.
- Now have the spectator freely name another card.
- This card will help me locate the previous selections.
- The 6 of Diamonds.
- Shuffle the remaining cards together.
- The 6 of Diamonds is the key card.
- Have the spectator cut about one-third of the deck here.
- Then cut another third here.
- The spectator freely cuts the deck into three packets.
- Place the 6 of Diamonds between the center packet, then reassemble the deck.
- The spectator freely cut to this position.
- Shuffle the packets together again.
- The shuffle determines where the cards end up.
- And the 6 was freely named by the spectator.
- Spread the deck.
- The 6 points to the left, so its value is 6.
- Count down six cards.
- The sixth card is the spectator's 3 of Spades.
- Likewise, count six cards to the right.
- You'll find the spectator's other selection, the Jack of Diamonds.
